What is hoopla?

Hoopla, a Netflix-like service for library card holders, is a way to stream and temporarily download movies, music, audiobooks, digital comics, and TV shows, on demand and for free through the library.

No wait lists. No late fees. Instant access. Automatic returns.

How do I access hoopla?

You will need a valid library card & PIN and an email address to create an account.

For mobile devices, download the free Hoopla Digital app from your device’s app store.

For computers, use a browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari and click the hoopla link on the library’s website. Your browser must have the Widevine plugin installed. If it doesn’t, you will be prompted to install it when you use hoopla for the first time.

What type of content does hoopla offer?

Hoopla has thousands of movies, television shows, audiobooks, eBooks, comics and full music albums. It includes everything from Hollywood blockbusters to best selling artists and authors – not just the hits, but the niche and hard-to-find as well. New content is added weekly.

How many items can I borrow and for how long?

You can borrow 4 items per month. This monthly limit resets on the 1st of the month.

Movie and TV content is available for 72 hours (3 days).

Music albums are available for 7 days.

eBooks, comics, and audiobooks are available for 21 days.
