By Karen, on May 20th, 2013 For those interested in our Next Chapter grant programming, please note that there will be no workshops for May, but we want to remind everyone that we are still offering our one-on-one classes on using Ancestry Library Edition, which is freely available on all our public computers.
Ancestry Library Edition has been getting a lot of use here, and we know some of you are bound to run into roadblocks in your research. So sign up for a class and we’d be happy to help you fill in the gaps in your family tree.

Did you know?… We’ve replaced our antiquated scanner with a new one that can scan photos and documents and has Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which means you can edit the documents you scan. And this great service is FREE! Instructions are provided next to the scanner or ask one of us for assistance.
By Karen, on April 1st, 2013 How? Get the Bookmyne app for Apple or Android. It’s free!
What can you do with the Bookmyne app?
- Search the library catalog
- Place holds on materials
- Manage your library account
- Scan barcodes to see if the library owns an item
- Find more you might like with Goodreads, reviews, and bestseller lists

By Karen, on February 25th, 2013 The library has copies of 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ federal tax forms and instructions as well as common schedules. Forms are also available online.
The state is encouraging tax payers to file online so we only received a small number of tax booklets, which have already been depleted. Forms are also available online and we are able to make copies upon request.
