The Hanson Public Library is a member of the SAILS Library Network, which has over 70 member libraries in southeastern Massachusetts. Patrons have access to over four million items from member library collections and may request that materials from member libraries be delivered to Hanson for checkout.
Library Cards
Individuals 14 and older may sign up for a library card upon showing identification. A parent/guardian must sign the library card application for those under 14 years old.
Loan Periods & Late Fees
There is a maximum of $5 for late fees except for the Nooks, Sony Reader, and Kindle which have a maximum late fee of $20.

Please let us know how you would like to be notified about overdue items and items ready for pickup. You may choose to receive an email, an automated phone call, or a text message. Whichever method you choose, if you provide us with your email address, you can also receive due date reminder notices and alerts when new materials by favorite authors are acquired by the library.
