Virtual Catalog
Massachusetts has nine library networks. The Virtual Catalog allows you to simultaneously search the online catalogs of these networks. If you are unable to locate an item in the SAILS Library Network, then try the Virtual Catalog as your next step. Items requested through the Virtual Catalog may take longer to arrive than items requested in the SAILS online catalog. Search the Virtual Catalog.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
If you are unable to locate the item you want in either the SAILS catalog or the Virtual Catalog, then you may request the item through interlibrary loan. Your request will be sent to the regional ILL center, the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy, and they will attempt to request the item from a U.S. library. Requests may be made through the Hanson Public Library in person, by phone, or by email. Items requested through ILL may take longer to arrive than items requested through other methods.
