Snow crystals

I know, not too many hot and humid days have descended upon us yet, but the bugs are multitudinous, and I am inclined to think fondly of snow. Maybe you are, too.

Cool down by taking a look at an amazing collection of snow crystals.

The Buffalo Museum of Science has made available online a digitized collection of the original glass slide photos of snow crystals done by the famous Wilson A. Bentley of Vermont. http://informatics.buffalo.edu/faculty/abbas/bms

The variety of shapes seems to be endless. The site also has links to other points of interest about snowflakes.
