October is Massachusetts Archaeology Month

October is Massachusetts Archaeology Month and there are activities going on all over the state. The Library has a convenient Calendar of Events brochure for you to browse if you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids or just for yourself. Some of the events listed in the booklet include:

“Archaeology Day at the Robbins Museum”

Robbins Museum in Middleboro

Saturday, October 14 from 1pm-4pm

Discover Massachusetts history, learn to grind corn, have your name written in Egyptian Hieroglyphics, and more.

“Toy Stories”

Boston Public Library, Main Library Children’s Room

Sunday, October 22 at 2pm

Learn about children’s toys from long ago and join in a hands-on activity.
