The Hanson Library is holding a writing workshop for anyone in Grades 4 and up who would like to enter a national reading contest, Letters for Literature, sponsored by the Massachusetts Center for the Book.
Enjoy a pizza lunch while composing a letter to your favorite author telling them how their writing has affected your life. Contest entries must be submitted by Dec 1, 2006 and winners will be asked to attend a ceremony at the State House in Boston in April 2007.
There are three levels of entry: Grades 4-6 (Level 1), Grades 7-8 (Level 2), Grades 9-12 (Level 3). Guidelines vary for each level. Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 12:00pm. For addditional information call Ms Ann Marie at the library @ 781-293-2151 ext. 105.
