Sunday Dec. 6, will be a memorable day at the Hanson Library !
The family of John P. Tobin has organized a fund raising event which includes an adult road race, children’s race, numerous raffles, crafts, and a DJ, all in their effort to raise money for a children’s book collection in his name.
After John Tobin’s death in 2008, their wish to create a memorial in his honor has resulted in this ambitious event to support the children’s book collection at the library, which has already been enhanced through donations in his memory.
IF you haven’t yet done so, you can come and sign up for the 5K race Sunday morning, at a cost of $25. Ribbons awarded to the winners !
