Library receives $7500. Federal LSTA Grant Award

The Next Chapter Grant will fund workshops on current technologies, new and alternative ways to embrace the aging process and programs that will enhance cultural awareness. The Hanson Library will be collaborating with the Hanson Council on Aging. All activities are geared towards those 50 ish and over. Grant activities will include computer classes in the following areas. Basic Computers, Social Networking, Genealogy, Downloadable Devices, Digital Creations, and Gaming. Grant workshops for Health and Well Being will include: Mind Body and Soul Connections, Meditation and Breathing ,Yoga, Destress though Decluttering and Staying Connected. Monthly Book talks, cultural and art awareness programs will be offered throughout the grant cycle.To learn more about how to participate: Join us for one of the informational coffees to be held on Tuesday Dec. 4th , 10:00 a.m. or Thursday Dec. 13 6:30 p.m. at the Library Senior Center. This program is free. Pre-registration is required.
