Michael Tougias will present a slide show on The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue on Saturday, January 17th at 12:30 pm.
In the winter of 1952, a nor’easter off the coast of Cape Cod wreaked havoc in New England. Two oil tankers, not built to withstand such ferocious seas, split in two, leaving dozens of men in peril. The Finest Hours is the gripping story of the heroic rescue attempt of the 84 men.
