Nature Walk at Bonney Hill Trail

Saturday, June 29, 9:00am

Join local naturalist Steve French for a guided nature walk at Bonney Hill Trail in Hanson!

The Bonney Hill Trail traverses the property once owned by the Plymouth County Hospital from 1919 to 1991. At the turn around point of the trail are two large fields known as the Last Meadows. These were created in the 1690’s by clearing timber to create agricultural and livestock grazing fields. They provide a glimpse of Hanson’s colonial times and now offer butterflies, birds and other wildlife a place to thrive. The trails are generally wide and paved in some spots with some slight elevation changes. The estimated distance round trip is 2 miles.

Parking is available at 52 Pierce Ave Hanson, MA 02341. This program is for adults or teens 16+.
