The most important school supply is a library card! With access to technology, innovative programming, and educational resources, a library card gives people of all ages the tools to succeed in school, pursue their dreams, explore new passions, and find their voice. If you don’t have a library card we hope you’ll visit us soon to sign up for one, or sign up for a card online for immediate access to some of our collections. You can also sign up for a library card at Hanson Day on Saturday, September 28th!
This September we’re celebrating Library Card Sign Up Month with a bookmark contest!
Decorate the template (paper copies are also available at the Library) or submit your own bookmark design (dimensions should be 6″x2″) between September 3-27. You can create your bookmark with markers, crayons, paints, or other media. This contest is open to artists of all ages, and you may submit more than one entry.
The Hanson Public Library Friends group will select a winner, and the winning bookmark will be announced on Monday, October 1. The Friends group will select a winner based on which bookmark best reflects a love of libraries, books, and reading. We will make the winning submission into a bookmark for everyone to enjoy!
