Summer Reading Kickoff!

Friday, June 14, 10:00am-12:00pm

Kick off our 2024 summer reading program on Friday, June 14th with a petting zoo from Channell Homestead! Channell Homestead will be bringing some adorable baby goats, baby bunnies, and baby chicks for you to meet and enjoy.

The 2024 summer reading program challenges you to Read, Renew, Repeat! Conservation as a movement focuses on protecting species from extinction, maintaining and restoring habitats, enhancing ecosystem services, and protecting biological diversity. iREAD 2024: Read, Renew, Repeat makes for a wonderfully diversified summer reading program that encourages reading as a restorative method of self-improvement and self-preservation. Engaging programs are planned throughout the summer focusing on conservation, recycling, and endangered species!

Registration for the program is available to Hanson residents ONLY Friday, May 31 – Tuesday, June 11. If space is still available, registration will open to non-Hanson residents starting Wednesday, June 12. Please sign up by choosing a time slot on the form below. If all space is full, please add yourself to the waiting list, and we will try to accommodate as many families as possible during Channell Homestead’s visit.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Hanson Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
